Soben,

A BIG Congrats to you! To win over the other top delegates of all of Utah is very, very impressive. Be very poise and show no mercy at the Miss USA pageant. You've been there, done that. Once you're on that stage, take over completely - it's your move. You're a very intelligent lady to own your current title. Be strong and confident - show no mercy. Remember your mentality plays a huge role in winning.

I know your people are immensely proud of you. Make them and Cambodia proud - win the Miss USA title and continue your dominance in the Miss Universe 2006.

You will win.
Our best, best wishes to you and again, a BIG CONGRATULATIONS.

(wow, don't put too much pressure on her now) just keep doin what you're doing. you make us khmers proud just as you are... miss usa 2006 or not! but i still believe God will work something out for you. Khmers have come a long way from the pol pot era, so having a Cambodian representing USA would help to lift our spirits back up! God loves you and represent Khmers, Utah, and Long Beach as well. (but its only right that "we" win, its the month of cambodian new year, so hopefully there's something more to celebrate about!

Gosh what more can I say but to be a proud Cambodian female. This will not just make you the best role model for the young unspoken great minority out there, but you will put hopes in all of us; to win the title of Miss USA or not, in my mind you have already won our hearts. That is the biggest gift to share to our community. Go as far as you can! Much support from LBC.

Soben, a beautiful name with a beautiful phenotype. I never thought in my lifetime to see/hear that someone have brought the image of Khmers back on the map. You know it's ironic, nobody know where is Cambodia -- until Mr. Nixon bombed the living daylight of us in the '70s. Now, more American know Cambodia because of you, Soben. I have learned a great deal from your profile. I am just a speck of dust in comparison of your accomplishment. You have an outstanding education background. A very smart Khmer woman. I hope you will reach Self-Actualization in your journey to earn a JD degree.

Soben, I came to the US when I was 15 years old in 1983. I have come to know a lot about Khmer communities in America. I highly value education; I am proud to know that you're the first Khmer woman to put Khmers in the minds of American. How many of us in America? Are we close to a million now? I knew that more Khmer aggregate in the West Coast, approx. 450,000 in CA. Not many Khmer value education; I think there are less than 1000 of us go to post secondary school in the whole USA.

Your perseverance will pay off. Good Luck in your education! Be careful when you go to Cambodia/Thailand, be on alert at all time!

Sincerely
